Finding Solutions In Sand
|
|
The purpose of the Psammology (psammo-sand, ology-study
of) Group (PG) is to provide assistance to those involved in qualified sand studies.
The PG will be a nonprofit international organization
comprised of a diverse and experienced body of members who volunteer their time and expertise in their respected fields of sand science. In this effort, the PG attempts to assist in a wide range of sand projects, studies and education.
The group accepts and procures those projects and studies it
finds interesting and falls within the PG guidelines, capabilities and resources, and considers both long and short term duration assignments. |
|
The creation of the Psammology Group was established to fill a
persistent need for assistance in various sand sciences by individuals, academia, industry, etc. who request extra help. The importance and goals of our organization was to form a group of international members, which would aid and facilitate other PG members in their specific studies as well as contribute aid in helping others. |
|
* The PG will initiate studies on its own or by inquiries
from outside interests.
* To perform current studies as well as to research and
study historical ones.
* To offer a resource platform for members and qualified
individuals.
* Work closely with all institutes, educators and
students in furthering academic sand education.
* To invite and offer membership to those individuals who
can provide their expertise.
* Seek and apply for state, federal or private funds
available in support of our projects, commitments and needs.
* To collect, preserve, organize, share and distribute its
resources and knowledge for the advancement of sand study solutions.
* Review and make recommendations and suggestions
on proposed work.
* Establish a network and links of reliable and
resourceful leads.
* Develop and promote the importance of sand to various
groups and organizations by conducting talks, exhibits and informative programs. To establish an awareness of the value and promote the importance of both our group as well as sand sciences itself.
* Provide updates and information on proposed projects,
development of those projects and the completion and results of projects through its newsletters to PG members. |
