Schedule

The SandFest schedule is still tentative, but the plan certainly evolves.  Be sure to visit this page for updates.

Thursday, Sept.25th: Meet and greet at the venue, field trip sites along Lake Ontario, the first trade session, a catered dinner at the venue, and a keynote address in the early evening on the glacial history of western New York and the sand deposits that it left behind. 

Friday, Sept.26th: Inland field trip to sites to collect glacially deposited sands in ancient river channels, outwash deposits, glacial lake sands, etc., a second trading session in the late afternoon, and perhaps some sort of social activity 

Saturday, Sept. 27th: A theme-related session with workshops and presentations, a STEM event open to the public.

Sunday, Sept. 28th: An ISCS meeting, presentations from members, workshops.

To a large degree, the Saturday and Sunday schedule will be defined by those who attend and offer presentations or workshops.
