Submit a Presentation Idea
We plan to hold a session on the use and value of sand in education. The session may include a presentation or two and perhaps a panel discussion.
We are seeking input to this session and have placed a note in the Fall/Winter 2024 issue of the ISCS newsletter, The Sand Paper. Whether you are involved in science education or not, we welcome your input!
The ISCS Education Committee is reaching out to see who in our membership would like to share how sand has influenced your educational efforts or experiences. This curated information could be used in a variety of ways: in classrooms, as articles for our newsletter, or at outreach events such as local rock shows. We also hope to use it in a program slot (perhaps as a panel discussion?) at our ISCS International Conference, SandFest 2025 in New York in September.
If you can provide input to any of the following points of interest, please consider sharing that information with us – this could be a wonderful resource for us all!
